A bit more on the snow, and the morning after.....

Here's the "art' shot, of the ash tree branches full of snow against the evening sky.
Here it is at the height of the snowfall. The tree on the right is normally completely upright. I love this photo, it looks like it's shot in black and white.
The morning after! You can see the ash tree in the lower right of the photo. There's snow on them thar hills!
Whose footsteps are those? This morning, the snow has turned to ice and is all crunchy underfoot as the dogs go about their business.

Yep our temps have dropped too. Not to that degree though. Enjoy your first snow at your new home - I hope those plants survive or will that have "cooked" them?

Aren't snow photos great- gives things a whole new appearance.

Enjoy but keep warm!

Brrr, it looks cold! My nephew is at school in Dunedin. His photos have been showing snow for awhile as he goes hiking in the mountains on weekends. It's a beautiful country you have.

Oh my goodness. And I thought I was cold this week in Queensland. I actuially have to wear fleecy pants this week! I love snow, but I am not a cold fan. How pretty your images are, just gorgeous.

Oh Boy, MIL said they'd had a foot of snow over at Timaru, but no pics from there yet.

It seems strange to see your snow when we are having a hot sunny spell at the moment. Glad you're enjoying it! :)

oh how COOL... ok literally! But I also get like a kid if I see snow, when we went to the mountains of Lesotho recently we missed it by 6 hours, I was devastated (Max pretended to be sympathetic but was hugely relievd!)I really thought that middle one was shot in black and white, amazing how it leaches out the colour!
