Tribute to the Crocodile Hunter

This is the sunrise this morning. I'm dedicating this blog entry to the memory of Steve Irwin (1962-2006), the Crocodile Hunter, who was tragically killed yesterday. Of course, he's an Aussie, not a Kiwi, but my kids grew up with his tv programmes on wildlife and it's fair to say he changed the face of environmentalism in Australia. A sad loss. Crikey. Posted by Picasa

It's just so sad. It was the first thing I heard when I woke up this morning, and he and his family have been on my mind all day.

aye it like he's been stopped mid flow when he was so out there and living life to the full - still so much to do.

We were shocked over here too. He was known world wide and such lively enthusiastic personality. We will all miss him.

Beautiful photos. It was such a freaky thing, the way he died. Sad. He was so young. I'm sorry for his young family.

I know I already commented on this, but I just wanted to say, as I'm surfing blogs on this Thursday Thirteen, each time I see something about Steve, my heart just jolts a bit. Just so sad...
