Well, I guess to some people it's "playing" but really, it's work. One photo showa some colour gradations that I made to make a sample quilt for a class I'm working on. I need some more colours though, so I'm still thinking about what to add to the mix.
The other photo is some more Blended fabric I made yesterday. I love love love this stuff! I just wish I could work out how to market it so people buy it!

It's play when I mix colors willy-nilly and get surprises. It would be much harder when you try to mix colors in gradations for specific color families. You have done a beautiful job.
I like these blended fabrics too. They're so pretty.
Your flowers are nice and the colours of your fabrics are very beautiful. This colours are relaxing. ciao ciao
I agree with Sheila - and all I do with dyeing at this point is PLAY! Your fabrics are beautiful.
Your blended fabrics are beautiful. I agree that it is harder to use them though. I have some gorgeous fabric that I dyed but have no idea how I will ever use them. Also I hate to cut into something that looks great as a whole piece.
These are lovely colours Shirley and the blended fabrics are classy. I'm sure they can all be used together beautifully. my experiments always give me a mixture of colours that don't seem to relate to each other. I must plan better.
YUMMY colours! And your garden, just fab!
