It's 2008!

I fully expect 2008 to be a much better year than 2007 for me, and I hope it's the same for my readers. Here are some photos of when I was monoprinting on Christmas Day. I spread thickened dye onto a plastic "board" using a comb, as I liked the effect this created.

Then I placed a piece of fabric over the plastic and smoothed it down.
The result! I let the pieces dry, then used the leftover dyes as backgrounds to fill in the white bits. These are what I'm going to be playing with today.

Happy New Year! Shirley!
It's just 6 pm here as I write and DH is cooking a chicken.
A quiet night in, we might not even make midnight but DD is doing the 'town' in London.
Have a fabulous 2008 without any of the upheavals of last year.

Just curious if you sprinkled salt on the piece of monoprint you created with thickened dyes. It is lovely.
I like your stamps. Ann from Lake of the Ozarks, MO, USA

What fun you are having with your monoprinting. Think I will definitely have to get those stamps out now.
