Southern sunset

At the southern latitude where I now live, the sun sets late in summer. Regrettably, it rises late in winter to compensate. Although it's still only spring, this sunset photo was taken at 9pm. Posted by Picasa

Hi Shirley,
just found your blog - all the photos make me really nostalgic for South Island sunsets. I also love your photos of Lindis Pass and the Oamaru skyline. My Mum used to live in Waimate so I know the area well. The White Horse up on the hill and the 'box' down at the shoreline. It's a beautiful place and your craft reflects that.

What a beautiful sunset. We have the same thing here but are fast approaching the shortest day and longest night. It gives me a chance to enjoy the sunrise from my kitchen window. We have a hill to the west so it is a bit of a mission to walk up it to see the sunset.

What a fabulous sunset! Your yarn turned out beautifully - I'm going to have to dye some more soon after seeing yours.

hi, Iv'e visited a few times but always in too much of a rush to leave a comment, today I got through the heap on my desk earlier than usual! love the sunset, and the stunning colours of the dyed wool. Do you have photos of how it looks when made up into clothing, hangings etc?
