There's absolutely no reason for this photo of me. Except that blogging without a photo is like....well, sex without fun. You know what I mean.
Thanks to those of you (if I were from the American South, I'd say "y'all" here. If I were from some parts of New Zealand, I'd say "youse") who asked about the hand painting of wool. Yes, I really DO paint it, though I tend to use a foam brush rather than one with bristles. And yes, I DO intend to sell my wool. The skeins in the photo (and whatever else I can squeeze in this coming weekend) will be on sale at my stall at the Oamaru Victorian festival fete next week, and again at my stall at the Lyttelton Rose and Quilt Show the following weekend.
I am currently trying to find a reliable source to supply me with wool and yarn of various kinds. Watch this space! And keep reading the blog - if I get time over the weekend, I'll take photos of the hand painting process for your blogging pleasure.
