Yes, it's holiday time again, and I have 2 weeks off before Term 4 kicks in. I have had a lot going on in the past few weeks - the Rangiora house has sold at last - after a year - and I've bought a little house here in Invercargill. I'll be moving around the middle of October and I can't wait to get back into a home of my own - I really don't enjoy renting. There'll be more space for me and the dogs, and as I'm only moving to the next street, I can still walk to classes and take the dogs on the walkways alongside the river.
Here's some more spring photographs to brighten your day - especially if you're heading towards winter.
This is the Phalenopsis orchid that I have growing in my kitchen- usually they require a lot more heat than this, as the room is unheated overnight and during the day in winter when I'm not there. Not a large flower, but there are 7 of them, and they last well. The rest of the photos were taken on a foray to nearby Queen's Park yesterday.

oh ducklings I love them! Spring is great I was sooo over winter.
We have ducklings as well as adult ducks and drakes,They parade across the lawn, marching to another's tune, down to the stream, too quick for a good photo, and much too fast for even the cat to follow.Great news for the new residence. All good things take time, just like the cheese ad!!Good luck with the website planning.Cheers from Jean.
