Yesterday, I didn't get the blocks I received in the mail sorted. Today, I have twice the task. Here's the 460 blocks that I need to sort.
Today, I also received some completed quilts. The first 3 shown are from Rangitikei Quilters via Mary-Ann Kane.
This one, and the following 2 are all from Margaret Rogerson of Wellington.
I am secretly coveting this lovely batik one, and also the one below, which has some lovely Kaffe Fassett fabrics in it.
You can see how much fun it is opening the mail!

Shirley, this project has grown like Topsy for you and I so admire you for even thinking of it in the first place, and for carrying on when it became so huge. You must be such a lovely lady, thank you so very much for what you are doing.
Hear, hear, Glenys! Totally agree. (And I'm coveting that Kaffe one too!)
Shirley when I first read about your project almost 2 weeks ago I was sure that my local quilting group Turramurra Quilters which is in Turramurra, a suburb of Sydney would love to help and so the call went out for heart blocks. Last Friday night the blocks came back and a couple of us decided that you had such a mammoth task putting all the blocks together that rather than just send blocks, we would complete a quilt and send it to you. We have almost finished it with only the binding to do now and, as one of our group is very conveniently for us, heading off to visit her father in Dunedin on Monday, she has offerred to take the quilt and either deliver it personally to you or have it couriered to you. So, all going well you can expect to receive it later next week. The lady delivering it will be Jessie McKinlay.
Thank you for doing this - you must be such a generous person.

Please keep posting the photos Shirley. It's quite inspirational to see what is arriving in your mail box !
Beautiful and so are you for taking on this project!!
You are doing an amazing job Shirley and it is so lovely to see the photos of the completed quilts and the heart piles.
I'm a little worried my parcel of orphan blocks hasn't arrived? ? ?
Keep up the great work - I know how easy it is to become overwhelmed :)
