Goodbye little friend

Grizabella took a turn for the worse and was clearly suffering so I took her to the vets first thing this morning. I'm glad I got to spend time with her at the end. I watched her being born, and I watched her die. I've known for weeks that she was dying but I still find it really upsetting.

Oh Shirley, I am so sorry. It's
so hard to lose a special pet and friend. You were very brave to make the decision. Take care of yourself.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure she's running around with our very own Buddy Butte.

Hi Shirley

Sorry to hear about your cat. Pets give a lot of pleasure and companionship. Unfortunately I am allergic to cats and dogs so I no longer have any pets but I appreciate their value.

Shirley my heart goes out to you. I had the same decision to make just over a year ago and it hurt like mad but it was the right decision. I still miss her.

Take care of yourself.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your dear ol' pusscat. It's hard to cope with, but you did the right thing.

Loved the quilts you showed from Symposium; especially the ones by Gloria, Sandra and Alison. Thanks for showing us.

Oh dear, I am sorry to hear about your lovely cat. I've got hopelessly attached to all our animals and we've had quite a few over the years, and it hurts like heck when they go. It was very brave of you to make that decision; and as the owner of a 15 year old dog who is also beginning to suffer, I hope I can be equally courageous. Take care x

Oh Shirley, I am so sorry to hear about your cat. We just wish they'd live forever don't we? They become so much a part of our lives, they ARE member of the family.

How beautiful that you were there to help usher her in and out of this world. I very much believe in an afterlife and one day you'll meet again.

Have you read the pet story the Rainbrow Bridge? It's really quite lovely, but a tear jerker - I've posted it at the end of my blog on 10 Feb 2009 (http://barbarasspotontheblog.blogspot.com/2009/02/spinning-long-dog-days-of-winter.html ) I hope it warms your heart :)

Shirley, what a wonderful gift you've given to Grizabella, to help her to be free of pain and suffering. But so sad for you too. Our pets are our family and a huge part of your life. Big Hug

So sorry for the loss of Grizabella - making that decision is the last good thing we can do for our furry friends. I know - I have three cats and have lost my share over the years - how hard it is.

Making that decision is never easy but we know in our hearts when it is the right thing to do even though it hurts so very much.

I'm so sorry to hear your wonderful pet passed. It's hard when we have wonderful pets who are great companions pass on.

It's so hard when we lose our furry little babies. Your heart will mend, until then feel a hug.
