In case knitting bloggers think I've deserted them, here's a cardigan I've just finished. It's made from el cheapo fibre from The Warehouse so is more of a round-the-house garment. It's a simple design, but I added the drop stitch detail. It's awaiting buttons on the turned back fronts.
And here's a sneak preview of my current Work In Progress - it's a silk bag, still in embryo unquilted stage.

love that silk bag!
May I add that it doesn't LOOK like a bag, because I haven't done the bagness bit yet!
The bag to be looks interesting, is the top layer tulle or have my eyes crossed?:}
The top layer on the bag-to-be is netting (specifically, coloured mosquito net), The silk is too fine to leave exposed, and also I don't want the threads to catch, hence the cover layer.
The silk bag-to-be has some lovely textures and I like the colours. Your idea of using net over delicate fabric is a good one. I have a similar problem with some foiled fabric that I've made recently.
