Then I stitched the 4 sides together using satin stitch and the same thread, then attached the bottom square. Sewing around the top was the hardest part, and I'm not sure whether it might be easier to do on each piece before assembly. I may try that next time. The vessel is 6 1/2 " high (17cm) and the base is 3" (8cm) square.

Vessels
Then I stitched the 4 sides together using satin stitch and the same thread, then attached the bottom square. The vessel is 6 1/2 " high (17cm) and the base is 3" (8cm) square.
I like the way the light shines thro your vessel Shirley. maybe it's the colour but it reminds me of a chinese lantern (the plant) physalis I think it's called.
