You have nothing to lose by waving some bleach at them or another overdye with something deep and dark but with enough hints of the colours underneath. Afterall we do need some deep darks for our projects.

Paint over them! Or discharge and re-dye as Kat says.
what doesn't inspire you will inspire someone else :-) so before you go to overdye give them a fabulous name and see how they go :-))
