Mainly medium shades, no darks or brights. I really like the subtle colour shifts and blends that you get with mediums. These are the start of a pile of my new "striped' fabric series.
Needless to say, the one I like best is the bottom left one which had all the leftover colours put on it.
Beautiful colors, Shirley.
ReplyDeleteYou really ended up with some lovely pieces!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful. Some Wonderful skies there.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to send me that link again, for the dyers ring, I think I've learned enough to add it now. Thanks Shirley!
Hey shirley, what fabric are you using? I did some dyeing at the weekend, but the fabric that spotlight had marekd 100% cotton was definitely not. It was easy to tell once some colour was added. I was looking for something just a little lighter than homespun, but maybe I should start there.
ReplyDeletewonderful lovely colors
ReplyDeleteHow did you know my favorite colkos to work with. Outstanding work Shirley When can I expect deliery? grin
ReplyDeleteLovely subtle shades. Mediums are good...very useful additions to the stash!
ReplyDeleteSome of my best dyed pieces are what I call the "table moppers" - I always hold out a piece or two of fabric to wipe the counter or table while I am working.
ReplyDeleteShirley the colours are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteHave you used cotton or silks?
You mail to Queensland by any chance??
